Potato Balls


This is very unique and can be used as an appetizer at various functions: weddings, parties, dinners, etc.

Prep Time: 50 minutes

Cook Time: 7 minutes


5-6 Idaho Potatoes

A cup of bread crumbs or corn flour

1 Tsp of Cajun Seasoning

Egg white

Oil for deep fry

1/2 bulb of onion


Start by cooking your potatoes whole till its cooked. Peel the potatoes and put them in a deep bowl, after that, mash the potatoes till its smooth. Mix in the Cajun seasoning and onions. Scoop a bit of the potato mix with an ice cream scoop and roll it into a ball and dip it in the egg white and on the bread crumbs and throw in hot oil. It should be ready between 5 – 7 minutes. Serve hot with salad or a dip. You make different kinds of balls with yams and sweet potatoes.
